JD Ready is a comprehensive introduction to law school.
It teaches you how to work with substantive content and concepts in the courses you will take in first year. It teaches you how to answer exams questions and develop good strategies for writing papers. And, it teaches you how to approach your studying, reading, and law school life.
JD Ready is a community of law students committed to excelling at law school.
It’s a place where students can safely develop experience in the skills that law school tests before school even begins. We’re here to support you, so join us and get a head start on your law school experience.
This is not a replacement for law school.
We don’t teach you all of the content you will be learning — instead, we give you the tools and grounding so that you are ready for the specific way that your professor will teach you the law.
FROM THE INSTRUCTORS
This is the course we wish existed when we started law school.
When we were law students, we asked “what should we do before law school started?”. Nobody had an answer, so we’ve taken it upon ourselves to take everything that we know actually helps law students be successful and distill it into one course.
We know students are worried about how difficult exams are, how much studying there will be, and the many different approaches to managing law school they’ve heard of, so we built a course that will give you the proven tools to be successful.
Law school is too important to not get right, so we’ll give you the tools to help you get ahead from day one.
John Wu, JD, MBA
John graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School and Schulich School of Business in 2021 and is the founder of Evocation Academy, a law school for high school students.
Matt Wilks, JD, BEd
Matt spent the last three years specializing in helping law students succeed after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2018 with academic standing in the top 8%.
